What actually matters here

Caps are decided by two things a photo can show: the embroidery on the front panel and the crown shape. Dense, raised stitching with clean letter edges is the mark of a proper run; flat, sparse embroidery where the fabric shows through is the budget tell.

Ask for a photo of the cap on a flat surface from the side. Structured caps should hold their crown shape rather than collapsing — that structure is the first thing cheap versions skip, and it is the thing you notice every time you wear it.

QC checklist — what to ask for before it ships

  1. Front embroidery density — no fabric showing through the stitching
  2. Letter edges at full zoom
  3. Crown shape from the side (structured caps should hold their shape)
